proposed solutions
Service is the natural expression of the Soul. It is the subjective unity expressed in the practical world. However, engaging in service should be done intelligently, that is not wasting precious resources, by focusing on addressing the causes, rather than effects; and prioritizing what is the immediate need of the period and circumstances. The need is time-sensitive and not necessarily those than entail thousand of years to achieve. Thus, a careful and critical study of the pressing problems of humanity is essential for the would-be server.
No, we don't have to wait to be perfect, or to be enlightened, or to be rich to start to serve or help humanity. Man will always be a work-in-progress and changing one's self is a continuous process through out the evolutionary process. In fact, helping to change the environment and society to improve the quality of life for all, will make it more conducive for individuals to change, develop and spiritualize. We and our families are the ultimate beneficiaries, in the end.
Through study of the world problems and their possible solutions, we can discover how to use our existing skills or resources (or we can develop new ones) to be helpful in whatever area of human endeavor that needs us the most.
